This year’s Balmoral Show will provide an exciting mix of food, farming excellence and showmanship alongside an exhilarating entertainment schedule.
Organised by the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society, the Balmoral Show has been the pinnacle agri-food event in Northern Ireland for over 150 years and continues to celebrate and showcase our local produce.
With many new additions to the Show, news of a fourth day is proving the most highly anticipated development.
RUAS Operations Director commented “We are very excited to bring our amazing
Show offering to a fourth day, on a Saturday, which has been called for, for many years. The four days of the Show will include all that is brilliant about Balmoral, grassroots agriculture alongside a mix of shopping, entertainment and attractions. We are delighted to see a marked increase in many livestock sectors including equine and beef, and are looking forward to a full house in May competing for prestigious Balmoral titles”.
The Balmoral Show provides a day out for all the family with great food and entertainment available and is a treat for all gardeners.
The venue features a huge indoor arena as well as outdoor spaces and plenty of parking is conveniently located just within walking distance.
This family friendly Show takes place at the Eikon Exhibition Centre, Lisburn each May across four days.
With over 3,500 head of livestock, 500 trade stands and hundreds of competitions, the showgrounds are always a hive of activity with the famous ‘Balmoral Buzz’ felt across the 65-acre site.
From Young Farmers competitions to sheepdog trials, cookery demonstrations to sustainability showcases and stunt display teams to the mesmerising Cattle Parade, there’s something for everyone at the Balmoral Show!
Healthy Horticulture - The Balmoral Show
The Healthy Horticulture Area at the Balmoral Show is always here to take you on a journey from field to fork.
Located just behind the Main Arena this trade space is often referred to as a tranquil space where the great outdoors are embraced and celebrated.
The Healthy Horticulture Marquee hosts fantastic cookery and horticulture demonstrations from industry experts and local producers, and for our young foragers the kids trail will get them thinking about how they can get stuck in.
Getting There - The Balmoral Show
The Balmoral showgrounds are located just outside the city of Lisburn. The nearest train station is Lisburn Train station (less than 15 minutes away) from which a complimentary shuttle service to the showgrounds will run.
