A person once told me that it is a good idea to bring what you most want from a relationship to it.


How can I give more love, joy and happiness to my partner? If you think like this then you and your relationship will be in a positive state most of the time.


What you put out does come back ten fold. You have to constantly work at the quality experience and consistently make deposits in the emotional bank account so you have reserves to pull you through if you ever have a rainy day.

We are in relationship all the time in terms of psychotherapy. If you are having a healthy relationship with yourself you will have a healthy relationship with others.


If not, addressing that first, is actually the solution.


Magazines talk all the time about relationships between two people. However we have lots of relationships in life. We have a relationship with other people, our education, our family, our friends, our career and our profession to name but a few.


So having a healthy relationship with yourself is key.


The cornerstone of that is self esteem.
